9 . What Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it may increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.
Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's base stats increases when it is upgraded. This value is the total of all of its upgraded perks (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and what kind of upgrade you decide to perform. This is due to the number of perks that have to be altered to upgrade an item.
It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average level of an item can be found on the character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment players can evaluate the levels of the item. It's a useful indicator of the quality of an item and the amount of damage it will be able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item's level.
The level of the item level upgrade can be checked by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full item description, including its ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.
There are several theories about how the level of an item is calculated. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats really are. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This can result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual item level.
However, this is not the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the area the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The stats of an item are a major component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of them in many ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to motivate them to try out other weapons. The stat mods of a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's level.
The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats of the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a gray or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare levels will be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.
Another method of altering the stats of an item is by affixing it. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. The affixes can be used to give the item additional damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item upgrader kit.
At present, all affixes can be rerolled by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges just like the other rerolling methods.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the item level, but every item is guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the specified range, unless it is an item that is unique or an item that is a God roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could be changed is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attaches, or select which stats to increase. Like the base equipment, this will have to be done per item and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the chances of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of these properties. It doesn't, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a chance to upgrade their equipment in earlier waves and is thus more beneficial in early game runs than in later ones, because most players value higher weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.
In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading which increases with each item level and can be further increased through the use of an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
The shields, armor, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to increase the luck of an item up to 140.
Certain items, like the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by five percent. These items can be found in the shops or made with the right ingredients.
Item Failure
item upgrader kit upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. Every item has an initial success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by 5percent.
The upgrade overlays of the item are rendered above items in the inventory. This can obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
