The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements used.

For example, the elite shield of racial violence Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to provide additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more tradable than the non-upgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. This swaps the current item for another of the same type with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they don't retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.

The survivors can acquire reroll tokens through several means like the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchased at the local store at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of an item such as increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can roll equipment with three categories: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by melee and weapons, while spell power boosts rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.

Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades the item to a higher quality. To make them, you need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, while rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker that rerolls, unlike markers or tokens placed on action areas, stays on the spot until the next success is rerolled. This helps you save upgrades.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of every preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by pressing on them. When they are opened, they display an image and description of the Ingredient or Appliance. Blueprints can be exchanged for new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of money.

During the course of a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on selected Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll, and those that are in the Non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that increase the value of an Best item upgrade by increasing its stats or attributes. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. They can also be purchased by players who sign daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate the item then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the Best item upgrade's current level and what it will be when being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Most often, rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires a single blue or green Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the requirements are fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item upgrade's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process is safe and doesn't impact the durability of the item. This makes it an excellent way for players to gain an advantage in battle without putting stress on their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. However, there are numerous methods to obtain these stones, such as signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.

Leveling

Leveling is an optional feature that lets players boost the stats of their weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by combining an item with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station, paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will use up the upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in the area. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.

Items with upgraded base stats will display an icon of blue in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be added to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component also requires an amount of items as well as a certain level of equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can place items to be upgraded. On the right side, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when the player has enough materials will start the upgrading process.

When an item reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. When a piece of equipment attains a certain upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an additional bonus or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, obtained through questing or exchanged between players. Upgrade components can be replaced by new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs, which can be removed and replaced at will.

Requirements

Upgrades to items allow players to increase certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the type of item however, you'll usually require Dilithium along with an amount of Upgrade Tokens.

Upgrades to items can be slotted into equipment set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can come from a variety of sources, including crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component is placed in an item it can't be removed and replaced freely, however, glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.

Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can improve the item's stats.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" improves base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire" however increases damage to weapons.

Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they achieve an exact roll. A perfectly rolled 200/6500 armor set piece, for example, is highly valued by melee PvP communities and can be worth up to 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.

The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor) and the tier of the item as well as the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.

Once you've satisfied the conditions for upgrading, the game will place the best item upgrade in your inventory, and the progress bar will be updated to show how close you are to completing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
