Upgrade components
Upgrade components are things that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an added benefit or additional effect while the equipment is being utilized. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as rewards, or made by crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They are not generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that has been elevated or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enrichments can be extracted from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded even while still connected to the item upgrading they are upgrading, and they can be reused after being salvaged. These upgrade items are the Best item upgrade way to improve the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium because they can increase the odds of receiving an upgrade by two times.
Upgrade components can be added to an item but the old one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. If you add an upgrade to a weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade, the item will be named as it appears on the game screen (for example adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are an excellent accessory to any item because they offer numerous unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, increasing the power of the item. These glyphs can be obtained through dungeons, and some can even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to note that glyphs can only be used by characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.
To use a Glyph you must first create it using components and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph using components, you can make use of an array of anchors and paths. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to hold it into place.
Some glyphs have conditions to satisfy, like having a minimum of 25 Dexterity in a specific region on the Paragon Board. Some also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to activate which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Certain glyphs also have a radius that increases as you move it up.
Glyphs are available for many different items and can be added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons belonging to a particular class. Some of these glyphs require conditions for instance, having a certain amount of Dexterity or Attack damage in a specific location on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by 5percent. It also has the chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that could be applied to limited-use tools, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs, which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. They are particularly useful for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll one of the results rolled while taking an Action. They are destroyed when the reroll happens. Reroll tokens can be gained in a variety of ways, such as through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. You can also purchase them in the shops, or from other players. They are particularly beneficial in dungeons or trials because they allow players to reroll rewards from the end of the chest.
Recycle points are available for items that are at level 1. When an item is recycled, it will add a specific number of points to the upgrade gauge. This value is based on the rarity of the item upgrader and its level. The upgraded item also will not retain its level if it is rerolled, and the cost of recycling an upgraded item increases as its level increases.
It is also possible to use reroll tokens to roll an item. However, this will not restore the item's original stats, or level. This is a great option for those who wish to reroll a piece of equipment they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll random and upgrade. Each type comes with its own subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from the level to create a new item of that level.
To use reroll tokens, right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token you want to use. The tokens that are available include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The use of an Item token will create the creation of a new Item of any quality. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon of the same faction.
The item upgrading could also be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but a higher level. This will occur when the item is placed in the Pool that cannot be dropped or has been transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
