World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of the item will be available at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the Best item upgrader gets leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player upgrade a piece of equipment, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

item upgrading (linked webpage) allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets above ilvl 385--by offering the appropriate currency and items to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every time you upgrade an item it is given the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For instance they might require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
