World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a method to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it may increase the rarity of an item upgrader kit or mark Level and boost additional stats.

Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a set number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its basic stats increase in value. The value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, dependent on who you employ and what you do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be changed in order to upgrade an item.

It is also used as a gating requirement when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It can also be used to limit how much PvP gear players can use as PvP is restricted at a lower level. Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the item level. It's a sign of the item's damage and quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the item's level.

On your PC, you can see the level of the item by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. The item will be displayed with its full description, including ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are various theories about how the item level calculation is carried out. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated using a formula that calculates the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration the fact that different perks have different worth and that gems in sockets add to the value of the item overall. This could result in a calculated item's ilvl that is typically very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the region the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, for instance by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

Item stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game utilizes them in many ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to one weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stats of a base weapon are increased by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase the stats of an item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, will only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers may be upgraded multiple times at higher prices.

Affixes are a different method to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could be used to give the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by giving an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes can be re-rolled at the moment by selecting them in the upgrade window, pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other options for rerolling.

Players can upgrade item an item by specific stats or reroll the affixes. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat in that range unless they are an item that is unique or a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility of upgrading equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would have to be done on a per-item basis and the item compare interface will not show all the stats that could be either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items, the properties that are generated by loot, and the strength of these properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It merely gives players a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves and is thus more useful in the early game as opposed to later ones, since most players prefer higher weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

Luck can also increase the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chances, which increase with each new level of item. It is also possible to be enhanced by using anti-materials like a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor, and weapons have the default Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on their material type) to increase the value of 40 luck or to increase the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, like the weapon that is infused with hollow can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that causes damage by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it fails.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limitations to the extent to which success rates can be increased and the chance of a failed upgrade cannot be greater than 100%..

The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the luck of the item. Every item upgrader kit has a success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases this chance by five percent.

The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This can cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item Upgrader; panduro-Thompson.technetbloggers.de, CORE client config.
