The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by the tiers of gear, their requirements, and the number of random augmentations are made available.

For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version.

When you select an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. These include the item type (either Weapon or Armor) and the tier of the item, the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.
